Licari's wanted a fresh, clean menu that elevated the dining experience while remaining true to the restaurant's authentic Sicilian identity. The redesign focused on improving navigation, strengthening hierarchy, and making a large amount of information feel effortless to explore.

challenge
While knowledgeable servers intentionally guide guests through authentic Sicilian menu categories, the previous menu lacked the visual hierarchy needed for guests to navigate confidently on their own. Important sections were frequently overlooked, and every category competed equally for attention, making the menu feel cluttered.
solution
I redesigned the menu around intentional hierarchy rather than additional decoration. Highlighting key categories, simplifying the layout, and replacing excessive boxed sections with thoughtful spacing and typography created a more intuitive experience. Inspired by the restaurant's warm interior and expanded to a larger format, the final design feels timeless, refined, and significantly easier to navigate.
